Presentation on background on the History of G8-Summits, a summary of resistance to the G8 and the state of the movement against the G8  and capitalism in Germany, the political and geographic situation of the immediate region of  Heiligendamm, and a in-depth discussion on mass mobilizations as part of the movement.

Economies Working Group and the Social Movements Working Group.

On-the-ground global justice and anti-capitalist activists from the
German autonomous-left Dissent Network (www.dissentnetwork.org) will
provide valuable first-hand mobilization on G8 2007 at Heiligendamm,
which will likely be the largest G8 mobilization since Genoa, and
possibly a victory that will revitalize the “anti-globalization”
movement.
